Owner Portraits

LIGHT+CO took an editorial approach to capturing intimate portraits and stories of owners with their Steinway pianos, in their homes, capturing the details of their lives. The first objective was to highlight interesting and accomplished people -- who shared Steinway's values of excellence, passion for music and the arts, and/or multi-generational craft. The second was simply to show Steinway pianos in beautiful homes -- reinforcing the idea that Steinways are made to be enjoyed in the home, not just from a concert stage.

The first two portraits, photographed by Miller Mobley -- who went on to shoot the cover of Michelle Obama's memoirs -- were with Maroon 5's Jesse Carmichael and designer and entrepreneur Josie Natori.
